Diary - Week 11

EVENT 1

   This Tuesday, I did not have a part time job, so I went to Yamaga to meet my friends. I met them after a long time! We went to Sushi-ichiba to eat dinner. We like sushi, so we also go to eat sushi. In particular, we like a salmon. We eat it whenever we go to eat sushi. It is very good! I also like an amberjack, but it is a little expensive. I hope that it become low price. Lastly, we always eat a banana crepe. It is very sweet and delicious! We love it very much! I had a very good time too! I enjoyed talking with them and eating sushi. I am looking forward to meet them next time.

EVENT 2

   This Wednesday, I had a club activity. First, we had a sectional meeting. We talked about Kaisen-party. After the meeting, we went to Youme town in front of KGU. And then we ate a dinner. I ate an ebitanmen of Mister Doughnut. It was very good! Please be sure to try it! Finally, we went to Oe elementary school gymnasium. And there, we enjoyed playing volleyball and dodge ball. I played them after a long time, so next day, I had a muscular pain! However, I had a very good time!

EVENT 3

   This Thursday, I made a motsu-nabe with my boyfriend. I made it for the first time. It was easy for me to make. We ate it for dinner. It was very good! We have eaten it our full. We prepared sime. Do you know “sime”? Japanese often take rice or noodles in a nabe after they eat a nabe. It is called “sime.” However, we could not eat sime. That’s because, we ate too much! I felt a little disappointed, but we enjoyed it. I want to make and eat it again.

EVENT 4

   This Saturday, I did not have a part time job. That’s why I went to Saisyunkan to see illuminations. Saisyunkan’s illumination is the most popular and beautiful in Kumamoto. That day, it was too crowded, so we had to wait about an hour to see illuminations. It was very cold. However, the illumination was very beautiful! I felt worth waiting for it. I recommend you this illumination. You should see this!!

EVENT 5

   Today, on Sunday, I was taken pictures of a coming of age celebration. First, I went to a beauty parlor. And then, I had my hair set and I was gotten dressed a long sleeved kimono. It is called “Furisode.” I wore it for the first time. After that, I went to a photo studio in Oe. I was very nervous when I had my photograph taken. However, I also enjoyed. Finally, I went to my grandparents’ house to show my furisode. My grandparents looked very glad. I was very glad too. Today was very busy, but I had good experience. I am looking forward to Coming of Age Day!

Diary - Week 10

EVENT 1

Today, on Monday, I did not have a part time job. That’s why I studied English and did a lot of my homework after school with my friend, Yukari, at KGU library. I did it for about 3 hours. I was very tired, but I could finish some homework!! However, I still have some homework. I will hold out after come back home!

EVENT 2

   Last Tuesday, we had a transfer of our club work, so my club members and I went to downtown. We also joined the seniors of our club. After we met, we went to one restaurant to eat dinner and talk. This restaurant was Machikara. This is a specialty restaurant of udon. There are many kinds of udon. I could not decide which one. Finally, I ate a kamaage-udon and a nimi motsu-don. Those were very good! Also, we could listen to our senior’s talk. We had a very good time!

EVENT 3

   Last Thursday, I went to Kurea in Kumamoto after school. I went there to eat lunch with my boyfriend. Kurea has a lot of restaurants, so we could not decide. We decided a buffet style restaurant after all. This restaurant had many kinds of dishes. For example, there were karaage, spaghetti, and pizza. In addition, there were many sweets, for example soft ice cream, cakes, and a waffle. I had eaten my full!! After that, we enjoyed shopping. Kurea also has a lot of shops. I wanted winter clothes, but I did not have much money. That’s why, I will go there again. We had a nice time!!

EVENT 4

   This weekend, I had a part time job. I also had a lot of homework. That’s why, I was very busy! First, I read a book, because I have to write a report about a book. This book was very difficult. I do not like reading book, so I was very tired. After read a book, I have to go to my part time job. I worked about 5 hours. I was very tired. After, I came back home, I did my homework. However, I could not finish it. I will hold out next week! This weekend was very tired weekend!

EVENT 5

   Today, I will write about my favorite season. My favorite season is winter. I have two reasons. One reason is that I do not like hot and rain weather. Summer is very very hot and summer has a lot of rainy days, so I do not like summer. On the contrary, winter is does not hot! Also, winter has snowy days. I like snow! The other reason is that winter has a lot of events. For example Christmas, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and Valentine’s Day. Also, my birthday is December 30 and I will hold a coming of age celebration this year. Every year, I can eat some cakes in winter. I like sweets very much, so I feel so happy. I have a lot of enjoyable events in winter. That’s because, winter is the best season that I like!!

Diary - Week 9

EVENT 1

   Last Tuesday, we had a seminar of job hunting. We could listen to our seniors’ experiences. I do not have a dream yet. I also do not have things which I am proud of. That’s why I had a sense of impending crisis for my future. I also thought that I have to hold out study English and find things which I want to do in the future! This seminar was very good!

EVENT 2

   Last Wednesday, I went to KGU library, and I borrowed a book. This book was “Fushiginasyonen (The Mysterious Strenger).” Do you know this book? Mark Twain wrote this book. The reason why I read it is that I have to write a report about this book. It is too long for me to read! I thought that it is also difficult to understand. I have not finished reading it yet. I have to read the rest two books! I want to cry for a lot of homework!!!

EVENT 3

   Last Thursday, I went to Doutonbori with my boyfriend. Do you know this restaurant? This is a specialty restaurant of okonomiyaki and the restaurant we can eat as much as we like. I like okonomiyaki very much, so I ate two okonomiyaki! I have eaten my fill! After we ate a lunch, we went to Youme-town in Hikarinomori to go shopping. I brought a coat. It was a little expensive, but I was satisfied very much! I will wear it next week!

EVENT 4

   Last Saturday, I went to Aso Farm Land to see illuminations with my boyfriend. We also went to Nabeshima to eat dinner before we went to Aso. Nabeshima is a specialty restaurant of yakiniku. I like yakiniku! I ate yakiniku after a long time, so I was very happy! Aso Farm Land’s illuminations were very beautiful! I saw illuminations for the first time this year. I want to go to Saisyunkan to see it too!

EVENT 5

   Last Sunday, I had a part time job all day long. That day was Sunday, so our restaurant was very busy!! In addition, our restaurant’s menu will change from December 1, so we had a lot of works! I was very tired that day, so I slept after came home. I could not do a lot of homework… I will hold it out today!

Diary - Week 8

EVENT 1

   This Monday, I was very tired and very sleepy. That’s because, last weekend I had a camp, so I did not have enough time to sleep. I wanted to sleep, but I had classes and a lot of things to have to do. In addition, I had a part time job after school. This Monday was very very tired and sleeping day!! I slept as soon as I went home that day.

EVENT 2

   This Wednesday, we had a lecture of Gorugo Matsumoto after school. Do you know him? He is a Japanese entertainer. I took part in this lecture with my friends. His story was very interesting. It was also very good story. I came to like his way of living and thinking. I thought that I want to live like him! I respect him very much.

EVENT 3

   After the lecture, I had a club activity. I belong to Marketing club at KGU. We have a club activity every Wednesday and Saturday. That day, we ate supper at KGU’s dining hall and we went to the park near the college. We played onigokko, kankeri, and zintori. Do you know those plays? Those plays are children’s play. I played them after a long time. I had a very good time. Freshmen of our club said “We enjoyed today’s activity!!” I was very glad!

EVENT 4

   Last Friday, I went to the English Lounge in KGU at lunch time with my friends. There were some international students and students at KGU. I talked with them. I enjoyed talking. In particular, I enjoyed talking with international students. We talked about our part time jobs, our countries, and weekend events. I want to talk with them!! I am an English Lounge staff, so I am in there 2^nd period on Monday and 4^th period on Wednesday. Please be sure to come to the English Lounge!!

EVENT 5

   Today, I introduce the drama which I often watch recently. This is “Dear Sister.” Do you know this drama? This story is about love story of one sisters. There are one older sister who is honest and bungler and one younger sister who is simple and innocent. The older sister is performed by Nao Matsushita and the younger sister is performed by Satomi Ishihara. They are very good actress. In addition, we can see brotherly love. They feel for each other. This drama is also moving and makes me beat fast. Please be sure to watch this drama!!

Diary - Week 7

 EVENT 1

   Last Tuesday, I did not have my part time job, so I went to karaoke in Kumamoto city with my friends, Yukari and Maki. I went there after a long time. I like singing songs. We sang a lot. After karaoke, we took a purikura. I took it after a long time too! I had a very good time with my friends. I can feel refreshed! I want to go somewhere with them again.

EVENT 2

   Last Thursday, I went to a library at KGU, and I borrowed a book. This is “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” This story is known all over the world. I have seen this movie of Disney when I was a young. This story is about that Snow White ate a poison apple, and she fall an everlasting sleep. However, one prince kissed Snow White and then she waked up. I think that this story is fantasy. I admire this story. Please try reading this book!!!

EVENT 3

   On Friday, I went to some shops to buy for English Weekend with my friend, Maki. We were a kitchen staff, so we brought a detergent, dish towels, and sponge. We stopped at the Mister Doughnut on our way. I ate a cup cake of new flavor. It was very good! We enjoyed shopping. I am looking forward to English Weekend!

EVENT 4

   Last Saturday and Sunday, we had English Weekend. I will write about events on Saturday. I was a kitchen staff, so I made lunch for everyone with kitchen staffs. 1^st day lunch menu was tacos and consommé soup. We divided up the work and made them in cooperation. I cut a lot of vegetables. It was very hard work, but I held out! We made curry and salad for dinner. The seasoning of curry was difficult for us. However, everyone said for us “This is very good! Thank you!” I was very glad! We was singing songs and dancing while we made. We enjoyed cooking!

EVENT 5

   I will write about events on Sunday. My Sunday morning was very early, because I had to prepare breakfast for everyone. The menu was taco-rice and consommé soup. It was very good! 2^nd day, we went to Kosi park and picking tangerines. We ate rice balls and tacos for lunch in the park. After we ate lunch, we went to Yuhoen. We were picking a lot of tangerines there. It was very fun and tangerines were very good! I had a very good weekend. Next year, I want to be sure to take part in this event!

EVENT1

   October 30, we did not have our classes. I went to Fukuoka to go shopping with my boyfriend. First, we went to the Canal City in Fukuoka. I went there for the first time. It is very big shopping mall. There are a lot of shops. We lost our way. Next, we went to the Premium Outlet in Tosu. This shopping mall is big too! I brought a lot of clothes. I was satisfied very much. I had very good time!

EVENT 2

   October 31 to November 2, we had a school festival. I took part in it in October 31 and November 1.I enjoyed it very much. I belong to the Marketing club at KGU. Our club sold agetako in the school festival. Our agetako was very good! I also ate a crepe suzette, yakitori, and an ice cream. I had a very good time! I am looking forward to a school festival of next year.

EVENT 3

   November 2, I had a wedding ceremony of my cousin. I was looking forward to this day! I got up early, and I dressed myself. My cousin who dressed a wedding dress was very very beautiful! She looked very happy! I was also happy. I ate very good dishes at a wedding reception. I also ate a wedding cake. It was very good. I had a very happy time.

EVENT 4

   Today, I read a book at KGU library. This is “Rapunzel.” Do you know this story? I had known it. I have seen a movie of Rapunzel. However, a story of this book is a little different from a story of this movie. I like both story. Please compare the book with the movie! I think that be sure to like both story!

EVENT 5

   Last Thursday, I met my high school friend, and we went to Shusi-ichiba to eat dinner. We like shusi very much. We often go there to eat. After we ate shusi, we went to Mizube-Plaza. It has some hot springs. We talk about our love story in a hot spring. We enjoyed very much!

EVENT 1

   This Monday, I made a film for our seniors with my circle members. That’s because, our seniors will retire after a school festival. Their retirement is sad happening for me. We were very hard for our seniors. I want them to feel glad and to retire with their good smile. This film will be completed soon! We will hold out to the end!!

EVENT 2

   Today, I read an English newspaper at KGU library. That’s because, I had a reading homework that have to make an English news quiz. It was very difficult for me to understand them. That’s because, an English newspaper’s sentence is a little different from a normal English sentence. For example, an English newspaper’s sentence has a lot of omission. That’s why we have to guess what is omitted. I am very weak at reading an English newspaper. However, I hold out my homework!

EVENT 3

   These days, I have favorite drama. This is “Mozu.” Mozu is broadcasted every Thursday at 9 p.m. This story is very complicated, so it is very difficult for me to understand. I watch some stories any number of times to understand. My favorite actress also appears on this drama. Her name is Yoko Maki. She is very cool and beauty. I like her character very much. I want to be like her. Now, “Mozu season 2” is broadcasted. Please watch this drama from “Mozu season 1”!!

EVENT 4

   This Friday, we had a Halloween Party at KGU. I am an English lounge staff, so I was planning this party with English lounge staffs. However, I had something else to do. That’s why I could not take part in this party. My friends who took part in this party and international students wear a disguise. For example, they disguised themselves as a witch, the god of death, and the Devil. They looked very enjoyable. I want to take part in it, and I want to wear a disguise very much! Next year, I will participate in a Halloween Party at any cost!!

EVENT 5

   Today, I read an English book. This is “Pinocchio.” Do you know this story? I know just a little. I saw Pinocchio of Disney when I was a young, but I forget almost it. It was very interesting story. After I read this book, I felt very warm. I also want to watch Pinocchio of Disney.

EVENT 1

   Last Monday, our college was closed. That’s because, we had a very strong typhoon. The typhoon caused a very strong wind and rain. It also caused grate damage. However, Kumamoto was not influenced by the typhoon like other region. I felt relieved, because there was nothing.

EVENT 2

   Yesterday, I borrowed a book at KGU library. This is “Sleeping Beauty.” Do you know this story? This is very famous story. This summer, I watched a movie, “Maleficent.” The origin of this movie is “Sleeping Beauty”. The heroine of “Sleeping Beauty” is Princess Rose. However, the heroine of “Maleficent” is a witch Maleficent. The movie is a little different from “Sleeping Beauty.” I like both stories. Both works are very interesting. Please watch and read those stories!

EVENT 3

   Last Thursday, I went to MK with my boyfriend after school. MK is a restaurant you can eat syabu-syabu as much as you like. We can eat not only syabu-syabu but also dim sum. I like dim sum very much. In particular, I like a dumpling of sesame. I also like syabu-syabu. This restaurant is my favorite. Please be sure to go this restaurant!

EVENT 4

   Today, I met my high school friends after a long time. We went to Sushi-ichiba to eat supper. We like sushi, so we often go there when we meet. I had a very good time. I will meet them at the end of the year. I am very looking forward to meet them next time!!

EVENT 5

   Last Saturday, we had a fireworks display of the whole country in Yatushiro. I wanted to go and see it very very much! However, I had a part time job. I could not go. I was disappointed very much. Next year, I will go and see it at any cost!!

EVENT 1

   Last week, I had a cold, probably because I think that it is really gotten cold. My village is in the top of a mountain. That’s why my village is colder than Kumamoto city. Now, I wear winter clothes when I go to bed. I also wear a mask every day. I wish to get over my cold early!

EVEVT 2

   Today, I went to a library in KGU, and I read a book. This is “Stories of Dogs.” It is a little longer than the book I read last week. This book has three stories. Those stories are about some dogs help some people. For example, one dog found a thief. The other dog rescues an injured man. I thought that dogs are very clever and kind. I came to want a dog!

EVENT 3

   This Wednesday, we can see a total eclipse of the moon. I wanted to see it very much, but I had my part time job that day. Therefore, I could not see it. I was very disappointed. Next, it seems that we can see it three years later in Japan. I want to see it next time!!

EVENT 4

   Today, I went shopping with my mother. We went to the Youme town in Hikarinomori. My mother brought me a party dress, because we have my cousin’s wedding ceremony in November. I was very pleased and I like that blue dress. I am looking forward to this ceremony very much!!

EVENT 5

   Today, I studied Spanish very hard. That’s because, I have a licensing examination of Spanish in November. One and half a year has passed since I started studying Spanish. Spanish is a little difficult for me to study, because there are a lot of verbs of a conjugated form. I don’t rather remember those, so I intend study harder and I want to pass the examination!

EVENT 1

   Last weekend, I worked at Goemon as a part time job. I did a hall works that day. I felt that service is very difficult, but it is worth doing. The hardest work I feel is that to remember the names of dishes. The names are too long for me to remember!! I can’t remember them yet. I want to remember them until this week.

EVENT 2

   These days, I often watch one drama. This is “Suikyu-Yankees.” This story is about one bad boy makes a water polo club and he holds out toward the champion to save his school. He also hangs on his love. It is a youthful drama! I have not watched all stories yet, so I want to watch early. Today, I will watch them after I come back home.

EVENT 3

   Last Saturday, I had my part time job. That day, we had a lot of customers, so we were very busy! Only a few days had passed since I started working at Goemon. Therefore, I had not become skilled in my works yet and I was very nervous. I failed during work. I was also paid attention by our owner. I was in very low spirits, but I decided to watch circumference very carefully from now on.

EVENT 4

   Today, I went to Aeonmall in Kumamoto with my boyfriend. I brought my friend’s birthday presents there. After that, we ate lunch. We chose a restaurant of kushikatu we can eat as much as we like for 2.000 yen. At that restaurant, we can fry some foods ourselves. It was very pleasant and its taste was very good. We have eaten our full, so I was very satisfied. Please be sure to go to the restaurant!!

EVENT 5

   Last week, I read one English book at KGU library. This is “Baba Yaga the Flying Witch.” This book is level 1, so I can understand easily. The story is about there is one witch, Baba Yaga, who eats children as if they were chickens, and there is one girl, Tasha. One day, Tasha’s stepmother said to Tasha “I want you to go to Baba Yaga’s hut in the forest.” Tasha felt scary, but she went to Baba Yaga’s hut with a magic doll which was made by Tasha’s mother. The magic doll helps Tasha, so she can come back home safety. This story is very funny. Next week, I intend to read an English book too!

Last week, I worked at Goemon as a part time job for the first time. Goemon is a restaurant specializing in spaghetti. First, I felt very the strain, but my senior taught me some works very kindly. For now on, I work hard!!

   This Thursday, I watched “Hirugao” of the last story. Hirugao is a drama. This story is about one homemaker’s illicit love. I think that an illicit love is not good. However, I wanted to support her illicit love. This drama is very interesting. Please try it!

EVENT 5

   I will write about my best memory of this summer vacation. This summer vacation, I camped with my high school friends in Minami-Aso. I pitched a tent for the first time. It was a little difficult, but I enjoyed. We did a barbecue and sparklers. I had very good time! I want to camp again.
